Operation Red Horse Pups

Organized by Operation Red Horse Pups

Another great success story
More puppies being reunited with their American Heros - this is a great story, and I'm so glad to hear that more soldiers and airmen are finding ways to bring their furry friends home.

Bama is Home!!!
Hi everyone! I am so excited to let you all know that Bama arrived in the U.S. yesterday and is now home with her new family in Pennsylvania!! That means that EVERY Red Horse Pup has finally made it home!! What wonderful way to celebrate the Independence Day Weekend! Thank you to all who chipped in to make this possible, thank you to the Airmen and other military members who serve our country and thank you to the friends and family they have to support them. Hooray!!!!!!
Moose is Home!!
As of this week, Moose is safe and sound at his new home in Florida with his adoptive Airman family. He had a long journey - first to JFK Airport in New York City, then a day at the Airport Vet while he waited for his flight to Florida. He arrived safely in Florida and recognized his Airman buddy right away. He had some issues with ticks, but has gone to the vet already and is getting all fixed up. He has a lot to explore and discover, and he's not sure what to make of the grass just yet, but he is quite at home on the couch. Take a look!

Play Date
Ryan and I got Heffa and Cincy together for a play date. Cincy needed a few minutes to remember her sister, but before long they were playing together just like old times. Take a look!

Dana is home!!
Hi everyone,

We are so happy that Dana is now with her adoptive family here in the U.S. Hooray! She had quite a journey, with an unexpected stay in Germany when her connecting flight was missed, but she got home early Sunday morning (June 6). (Special thanks to Pam and Qudrat for figuring out all the details!) She is a friendly little bundle of energy who likes to chase butterflies at her new families home. I will post some pictures soon!
Bella and Cincy are home!!!
Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has taken me nearly a week to get this post up - but I've had my hands full with our new lil bundle of joy - Cincy!!

We picked up Bella and Cincy on Saturday, May 22 at JFK airport in NYC. It was quite a trip, and the process went smoothly once the plane landed - just lots of paperwork. Thanks to Bella's adoptive family for being the official receiver and handling all of the leg work!

Here are some pictures from our union with Bella and Cincy:

Patiently waiting until we have the authorization to open the kennels.

Cincy and Bella chowing down - such good girls!!

They did great on the car ride home and have lots and lots to explore. Bella went to a home that already had a few other dogs, so she will have to settle in to the "pack" and find her place. Cincy is coming to my house and she will have two kitty-kat sisters to get to know. I hope she doesn't think they are chew toys!

We are planning to welcome Dana home next Friday, and Bama and Moose the week after that. Then it will be home sweet home for all of the Red Horse Pups!! What a journey this has been, and we wouldn't have been able to make any of it possible with out your help, so thanks so much again!!!
Heffa is home!
Hi Everyone,

We are so happy to announce that Heffa arrived in the U.S. safe and sound this past Thursday, May 13. She was quite exhausted from the 36-hour trip, but after a good dinner and time to strech her limbs, she was back to her old self. Here are some pictures from the reunion:

Heffa is coming home!
Hi everyone!

We got all of our ducks in a row and all of the paperwork and arrangements finalized and now Heffa is on her way to the United States!! She will arrive tomorrow afternoon. My brother is going to pick her up at the airport and just can't wait to see her after being separated for several months. I'll post pictures of the reunion as soon as I get them!

With out all of your support, this wouldn't have been possible, and we just can't thank you enough!!
Pasta for Puppies Dinner
Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken me so long to post - things have been very busy around here!

I'm so excited to tell you about what a HUGE success the Pasta for Puppies dinner was! Through the generous item donations gathered from local businesses, friends, and family members of the Airmen for the silent auction, we were able to raise the rest of the money we need to bring all 6 of our pups home to the United States!!! We are so excited and so grateful for each and every contribution we received, thank you so much!!! As soon as we scrounge up some pictures of the event, I will post them for all to see.

A very special thanks to our friends at The Pancake Farm and A Tail To Tell for allowing us to have the proceeds from the auction for our rescue operation - it means so much to us!

We have been working out the final details of the travel arrangements, and we hope to welcome Bella and Heffa home either next week or the week after. The folks overseas sent up some updated pictures of Bella and Heffa awaiting their travel dates. Can you believe how big they have gotten??

Bella is so big now!!!

Heffa thinks she owns the place - just sitting pretty on the couch.

I'll write more soon!!
Thank you!
This community continues to amaze me... We have a few thank-you's that are long over due and I know that I will likely miss someone very important, and if I do, please let me know!

We're very close to reaching our goal and being able to bring all 6 of the pups home. Besides what we have here on the ChipIn page, we have also received some very generous donations in our P.O. Box. I won't mention all of the donors by name, but you know who you are, and THANK YOU!!!

We also received a HUGE donation from a local organization called United Forces for Veterans - Thank you SO MUCH for your generosity!!!

BarkBusters has generously offered free obedience training for the pups coming to central PA! They are going to teach us how to help them assimilate into their new environment, as it will be quite a change for them, and help them be happy, healthy, well-balanced pups.

I also want to thank our local Pet Valu stores for all of their help and support by putting out donation boxes and asking the community to chip in. Thanks so much!!

A HUGE thank you to The Pancake Farm restaurant and A Tail to Tell Puppy Mill Rescue for their amazing out-pour of support. Thank you for offering for us be a part of your Pasta for Puppies dinner, and for offering that all proceeds from the silent auction go to Operation Red Horse Pups. We know that the money raised there would have also been very well used for your own rescue initiatives, and we really appreciate your compassion and friendship. We can't wait for the big event tomorrow!!!
